MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - The dominoes are falling for the University of Memphis as the spring basketball recruiting season draws to a close.
The Tigers landed 4-star shooting guard Lester Quinones.
Quinones made it official Friday. He played for IMG Academy in Florida, and helped lead the team to the Prep School National Championship.
A 6′5″ guard, Quinones is an accomplished outside threat who’s addition ranks the Tigers current composite recruiting class at 5th in the nation according 24/7Sports.
“I just absolutely love the fans at Memphis," Quinones said.“That fan base deserves to have a great team like Memphis used to have, and I want to be a part of bringing Memphis back to where they should be.”
The guard picksed the Tigers over the University of Indiana.
He says he’s immediately going to work on recruiting his good friend, 5-star forward Precious Achuiwa, and 4-star point Guard Boogie Ellis to come to the U of M.
