MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is looking for donations to support the Mid-South Food Bank.
The hospital's annual "Hunger Doesn't Take a Break" food drive is about making sure children stay fed during the summer.
"So a lot of kids that we do the drive for get fed to meals a day during the school year and they go hungry during the summer," Le Bonheur nurse Theresa Drewry said.
Le Bonheur will start collecting non-perishable breakfast items, like cereal, breakfast bars, grits and oatmeal, on May 26. The food drive runs through June 8.
Donations can be dropped off at Le Bonheur or the food bank.
