MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A U.S. Marshals task force helped Shelby County authorities arrest a murder suspect Monday.
Darunn Turner was arrested for first-degree murder in the shooting death of Marcus Powell.
A warrant was issued Saturday for Turner’s arrest for the murder charge as well as attempted first-degree murder, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm in commission of a dangerous felony.
Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force searched the West Memphis area Monday morning, prompting Turner’s surrender at the West Memphis Police Department.
Turner was later booked into the Shelby County Jail.
