When it comes to warnings, knowing where you live on a map is very important, as the National Weather Service will issue county base warnings.

Mother Earth, is arguably the most recognizable planet that we can usually pick out when you see it on a list of planets.
Here is a serious question, can you find where your house is located on the map of Earth? A lot of people cannot find where their house is, whether it’s their town, or even just their county name.
Knowing where your county is located, and towns nearby, are so important when we get into severe weather setups, being able to locate where you are on a basic map in Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas can be crucial.
If you can find your county, great! If not, it might be a good idea to brush up on some geography.
Even if you don’t know where every gas station, barbecue shop, or field is in the county, not to worry because the First Alert Weather Team is here for you, but just knowing where a town is located within your county can make a major difference when severe weather hits.
