High pressure is settling into the Mid-South. South winds associated with the high will help temperatures warm through the end of the week and into the start of the weekend.
We have seen mostly to partly sunny skies across the region today, that along with the sunshine and southwest winds around 5 to 10 mph and afternoon highs warmed up into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees today. A pop-up shower will be possible mainly in West Tennessee this afternoon, but most locations across the Mid-South should remain dry. Skies will remain mostly clear tonight with southwest winds around 5 to 10 mph and lows dipping into the upper 60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny. Winds: Southwest around 5 to 15 mph. High: 89.
FRIDAY: Tomorrow is looking mostly sunny with south winds prevailing. Afternoon highs will warm into the upper 80s near 90 degrees yet again. Rain chances will be slim to none tomorrow as highs pressure continues its reign over the region. Lows will stay mild in the upper 60s for Friday night.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Saturday is looking drier than Sunday this upcoming weekend. Partly cloudy skies are expected for Saturday with afternoon highs again in the upper 80s with overnight lows in the upper 60s. Rain chances and a few storms will be possible Saturday night into our Sunday, severe chances are on the low side during this period. Highs on Sunday will only warm into the upper 70s to lower 80s thanks to the rain, storms and clouds expected to close out the weekend.
NEXT WEEK: A pop-up shower will be possible each day next week. Rain will be very hit-or-miss across the area. This is due to the heat and humidity expected next week. Highs will be in the middle 80s through the start of next week with overnight lows falling into the upper 60s to lower 70s during the period.
