Hot and dry for the next few days

It's a nice start to the day with a clear sky and temperatures in the 60s. This afternoon will once again be hot with highs in the upper 80s. We will have sunshine today, but a pop-up shower will be possible in west Tennessee this afternoon. Most of the area will remain dry. Lows tonight will drop to the upper 60s.

TODAY: Partly cloudy. Winds: SW 5-10 mph. High: 88.

TONIGHT: Mostly Clear. Winds: SW 5-10 mph. Low: 68.

FRIDAY: Friday will include more sunshine and no rain. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s Friday and a few areas may even hit 90 degrees for the first time this year. Lows will be in the upper 60s on Friday night.

WEEKEND: It will be dry and hot with sunshine on Saturday, but a few showers will be possible on Sunday. Scattered thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day, but severe chances are low. Highs will be in the upper 80s Saturday and around 80 degrees Sunday.

NEXT WEEK: Pop-up showers will still be possible each day next week, but rain would be hit or miss. High temperatures will remain slightly above average in the mid to upper 80s.
