MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A weak disturbance moving south ahead of a cold front brought rain and thunderstorms to parts of the Mid-South but now a drier pattern is developing.

THIS WEEK: Showers diminish tonight as dry air moves into the area and remains in place tomorrow. There is a very slight chance of an afternoon shower Thursday but most of the Mid-South and the day will be warm and dry. Friday will be mostly sunny with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s and lows in the upper 60s.
THE WEEKEND: Saturday will be partly cloudy and warm with afternoon highs in the upper 80s and overnight lows near 70. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and possibly a few thunderstorms along with highs near 80 and lows in the upper 60s.
NEXT WEEK: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain each day along with high temperatures in the mid 80s and overnight lows near 70.
