Hot and humid conditions will last through most of the weekend. Rain and storm chances will be on the rise tonight into Sunday.
Another hot and humid day is in store for the Mid-South today. Afternoon highs will soar into the upper 80s again this afternoon under partly cloudy skies and south winds around 10 to 15 mph. Clouds will build tonight as a cold front approaches the region from the west. The front will be weakening as it moves into the region, but showers and storms will be likely with this line. A few storms could pack a punch, with gusty winds, hail and heavy rains. Tonight, we will see rain and storms along with cloudy skies and lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s along with south winds around 15 mph.

SUNDAY: Tomorrow is looking wet and stormy to start the day with lingering showers and storms into the afternoon. Cloudy skies will prevail tomorrow as will the south winds around 15 mph. Like today, a few storms could pack a punch tomorrow with gusty winds, hail and heavy rains. Highs will warm tomorrow into the lower 80s due to the rain and clouds expected. Sunday night we will see rain start to taper off with lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
NEXT WEEK: Partly to mostly cloudy skies will prevail through next week. Monday through Wednesday we have the chance for isolated to scattered showers and storms across the region. Afternoon highs will stay in the middle 80s across the Mid-South with overnight lows in the lower 70s to start the week. By the end of next week, our rain chances lower and our temperatures rise again into the upper 80s close to 90 degrees for Thursday and Friday with overnight lows in the lower 70s.
