Warming Trend This Week

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -A cold front and low pressure along with the heating of the day have been the culprit for the few storms we’ve had this evening. Skies will become partly cloudy across the Mid-South overnight giving way to drier conditions and more sunshine ahead.

TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. Winds: North around 5 to 10 mph. Low: 63.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy and warmer. Winds: E 5-10 mph. High 85.

MONDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Winds: East 5-10 mph. Low: 68.

THE WEEK AHEAD: Dry and warmer as we start the work week on Monday with maybe a spotty shower but mainly dry. Highs will warm into the middle 80s with east winds around 5 to 10 mph and lows will dip into the upper 60s to lower 70s. Tuesday and Wednesday the pattern will be more unsettled with increased rain and storm chances along with highs back into the upper 80s and overnight lows in the lower 70s. Some storms could be stronger Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. A drier pattern by the end of the week along with hot temperatures as high pressure settles in. Thursday, Friday and through the weekend, hot with highs soaring into the upper 80s to lower 90s with overnight lows in the lower 70s under partly to mostly sunny skies.
