MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Fairley High School head football coach Gene Robinson is on a mission to make sure every football player in the city of Memphis has a shot at a college scholarship.
Robinson is hosting his seventh annual “Make The Right Call Football Camp” on Saturday at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
The camp is invitation only and will feature the 150 best football recruits, ages 14-18, in Memphis.
Ten of the top performers at the camp will receive free ACT Prep Courses.
Robinson will enlist the help of Tennessee Titans linebacker Darren Bates, Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Dontari Poe, among other NFL players for the camp.
Bates will host a separate camp later in the day at Christian Brothers High School for ages six to 15.
Registration for “Make The Right Call” begins at 11 a.m. The camp will take place from 12-3 p.m.
Bates’ Elite Showcase Camp will take place from 5-9 p.m.
