Mild today, but a big warm-up later this week

It's a nice start to the day with a clear sky and temperatures in the 60s. This afternoon will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s. A pop-up shower will be possible this afternoon, but most of the area will remain dry. It will be partly cloudy tonight with lows in the upper 60s.

REST OF THE WEEK: Most of the day tomorrow will be dry with sunshine, but a line of storms will approach the Mid-South late Tuesday night. The best chance for strong storms will be in eastern Arkansas and then the line will fall apart as it crosses the Mississippi River. Scattered showers will continue through the first half of Wednesday. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will clear out on Thursday and Friday and see more sunshine and dry conditions. Highs will be near 90 at the end of the week. We will likely hit 90 degrees for the first time of 2019 on Friday.

WEEKEND: It will remain hot and humid over the weekend with high temperatures in the lower 90s and a heat index in the mid 90s. It will remain dry and sunny over the weekend.
