RANDOLPH CO., Ark. (WMC/KAIT) - Former Arkansas State Senator Linda Collins-Smith was found dead at her home in Randolph County on Tuesday night.
Investigators are calling it an "unattended death," which means her body may have been left at the home for days.
Randolph County Sheriff Kevin Bell said the cause of death is unknown at this time but does not believe the public is in any danger.
Collins was first elected to the Senate in 2014 after switching from the Democratic to Republican party. She was 57 years old.
