Man arrested for robbing Southaven gas station, leading officers on chase

Police chase leads robbery suspects from Southaven to Memphis

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (WMC) - Southaven Police Department arrested a man accused of robbing a gas station after a chase led them into Memphis.

Officers chased the suspect after an armed robbery call at Marathon on Airways Boulevard. They found a vehicle matching the description and chased into Memphis.

One cruiser was involved in a minor crash during the chase. There were no injuries stemming from that crash.

Memphis police officers were able to assist in the chase. The suspect crashed the car and got out and ran in the area of Pickett Road and Gill Road.

After a short manhunt, 20-year-old Khamron Roberts was taken into custody. Roberts is charged with armed robbery, misdemeanor fleeing and false information.
