MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Mike Norvell is doing his best to challenge Penny Hardaway for recruiting prowess at the University of Memphis.
In just 72 hours, Norvell brought in 3 players with rave reviews on the high school and junior college circuit.
The latest to commit to football scholarships with Memphis include JUCO cornerback Sylvonta Oliver of Itawamba Community College. Oliver, a 5′10″ former North Panola High star, from Sardis, Miss., shut down his recruiting after just one visit with the Tigers.
Also committing is 3-Star offensive lneman Jonah Gambill, a 6′3″, 270 pounder from Cartersville, Georgia. Gambil picks the Tigers over USF.
Memphis now has the No. 62 overall class for 2020 and the No. 2 overall class in the American Athletic Conference.
