Blood trail leads police to homicide victim on side of road

Cordova murder investigation

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Police Department is investigating a homicide after a woman was found dead.

Officers stopped after finding a suspicious vehicle at Kings Cross Lane around 2 a.m.

Upon investigating, officers saw a door open and a trail of blood leading from the car.

Police followed the trail and found a woman who had been killed.

Jordan Harp was arrested and charged with kidnapping and first-degree murder. Police said Harp killed his girlfriend Alaysha Lockett.
