Tornado, Flash Flood Warnings issued for parts of the Mid-South

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - National Weather Service issued a series of warnings Tuesday that included a Tornado Warning for parts of Fayette and Hardeman County.

That warning expires at 1:30 p.m.

A Tornado Warning is issued for parts of Hardeman and Fayette County.

A Flash Flood Warning was issued earlier in the day for DeSoto and Shelby Counties. It’s set to expire around 2:45 p.m.

The warning affects parts of Memphis, Germantown, Southaven, Horn Lake and Olive Branch.

Crews have been preparing for flash flood potential for the past few days as rain has been dumped on the Mid-South. Nearly four inches of rain has fallen in Midtown Memphis as of Tuesday morning.
