MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis has marked a major milestone in its transplant program.

25-year-old Khadija El Shabazz received a new heart last week after waiting for a transplant for more than a year.

She suffered from a condition called postpartum cardiomyopathy, which developed after the birth of her son.

Her transplant help the hospital reach more than heart transplants in hospital history.
