MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Hazmat crews were called to Sprouts Farmers Market on Highway 64 Sunday.
Shelby County Sheriff’s Office was originally called there to investigate a possible road rage incident when they found some potential hazardous materials inside one of the cars involved.
A large area of the parking lot was blocked off as deputies in hazmat suits searched one of the vehicles.
There were no reports of injuries.
“It’s just always alarming in your old neighborhood to roll up and see yellow tape around and if it’s safe to come in. with all the shootings going on, you never know,” said Vicki McInnally, shopper.
No word yet on exactly what investigators found or if anyone was arrested, but a Tennessee Meth Lab Task Force truck was at the scene.
This is an ongoing investigation.
