MILLINGTON, Tenn. (WMC) - Hazmat crews were called in to a business in Millington.
The fire broke out at Tradebe in Millington on Friday morning.
Shelby County Fire Department said four employees were taken to the hospital after the fire broke out. One sustained minor burns and the other three were treated for heat exposure.
Hazmat crews were called in to decontaminate the building. The fire has since been put out.
All employees at the plant, about 36 people, were decontaminated as a precautionary measure.
“By the very nature of what they do we are frequently out here on pre-fire planning anyway and some training that we do with them, but the bottom line is it can be a very dangerous environment but they’ve got some specialists out here that work with the company to make sure it is kept at a minimum," Shelby County Fire Chief Brent Perkins said.
Businesses in the area are still functioning and operating, and there is no threat to the area.
