MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis police say a body found in the Mississippi River last week was a man who was recently the focus of a City Watch.
On Monday, police identified the man as 28-year-old Ronald Ponce. His body was found floating in the water near Tom Lee Park Aug. 12.
In a July 31 City Watch, police said Ponce’s girlfriend said he texted her, threatening to harm himself.
Police say Ponce’s cause of death remains under investigation.
