UofM receives $2M in grants to fight opioid crisis

UofM receive millions in grant money towards opioid crisis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -The University of Memphis has announced it has received nearly $2 million in grant money to fight the opioid crisis.

The university has been awarded two grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that will help treat patients addicted to opioids.

A statement the university released says the more than $1.9 million will provide training and resources to students looking to help victims of the opioid crisis.
