Man wanted for robbing store with AK-47

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Police Department is looking for a man who was caught on camera robbing a store with an AK-47.

The robbery happened Wednesday night at Graves Express Mart in Whitehaven.

The robber forced employees to open the register and grabbed cash before escaping.

Business Robbery Graves Express Mart 3797 Graves Road Report#1909005709ME On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, officers made the scene of a business robbery at the Graves Express Mart located at 3797 Graves Road, and were advised of the following: At 7:54 p.m., a male entered the Graves Express Mart armed with a rifle and robbed the business at gunpoint. The subject forced employees to open the register, taking an undetermined amount of money from the business. The subject was last seen fleeing on foot from the business. The suspect is described as a male Black in his 20’s, 5’8”, 140-160 lbs., skinny build, wearing an orange wave cap on his head, a black and white bandana covering his face, a black t-shirt, dark colored shorts, and black tennis shoes. No arrests have been made at this point. This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH.
