CLARKSDALE, Miss. (WMC) - State investigators are responded to an officer-involved shooting in north Mississippi on Tuesday evening involving a man who is now recovering.
A spokesperson with the Clarksdale Police Department says the shooting happened at MLK and Boliver and involved someone with the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is now investigating the shooting. It involves officers with the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office. Neighbors say deputies here are tough.
“If a call coming they coming. They don’t come in with a warning, they come in ready. Yep they come in ready to do what they got to do...they job," said resident James Hollins.
The shooting victim has not been formerly identified by authorities. But WMC does know from neighbors and family who he is and according to Facebook posts he survived the shooting.
