Police: 10-year-old girl taken from Memphis school by non-custodial mother

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis police say a 10-year-old girl who was taken from school by her mother, who does not have legal custody, has been found.

Police say Dianne Woods took Teyonna Woods from Holmes Road Elementary School in Memphis around 11:30 a.m. Dianne Woods was driving a blue Mazda Tribute with Arkansas tag 870-VWI.

Police canceled the City Watch for Teyonna around 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

They say she has been found safe and sound.
