Man killed after home catches fire

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man was killed in a house fire Monday morning.

Police were called to the fire on Alameda Avenue.

While firefighters were searching the home, they found the 67-year-old unresponsive with second- and third-degree burns.

He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Fire officials said a faulty extension cord caused the fire.
