UofM track and field athlete arrested for rape

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A University of Memphis track and field athlete was arrested for rape in East Tennessee.

Jerome Dooley is charged with raping a woman in July 2018 in Knox County.

Dooley is listed on the university’s track and field roster as a freshman. When asked for comment, UofM said:

University of Memphis Athletics was made aware of an off-campus incident involving a student-athlete. We are fully cooperating with authorities, and no additional comment will be made while the investigation is ongoing.
