MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Tennessee Highway Patrol has shut down I-40 after a barge was expected to strike the bridge that runs over the Tennessee River.

THP Public Information Officer Bill Miller says the barge has since been tied down and the interstate should be reopening soon for through traffic.

This comes just after seven semi-trucks flipped on I-40 earlier Saturday due to strong winds.
