OXFORD, Miss. (WMC) - Ole Miss Quarterback John Rhys Plumlee has been named the SEC Co-Freshman of the Week after breaking several records in the Rebels 41 to 3 win over New Mexico State.
Plumlee accounted for 301 yards of total offense, including 2 touchdowns and 177 yards on the ground, just one yard shy of the Rebel rushing record by a quarterback.
His 75-yard run in the first half was the 3rd longest rush by a QB in Rebel history.
His 2 touchdowns are the most rushing touchdowns by an Ole Miss freshman in a single season.
