MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A Memphis man has been arrested and charged in connection to the alleged kidnapping and sex trafficking of two female teens -- one 17 years old, the other 18.

Darrell Hampton, 30, was arrested on Monday when police responded to a possible kidnapping at the Memphis Inn on American Way. According to the affidavit, the 17-year-old called her family and said she was being held against her will.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located the victim along with Hampton and an 18-year-old girl.

Investigators say, the victim told them she was walking on Lamar Avenue when Hampton forced her into a vehicle. The 18-year-old victim was also inside the vehicle at the time.

She told investigators they were both forced to work as prostitutes from Friday to Sunday and were told they would be taken to Atlanta to work there.

Hampton faces two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of aggravated assault, trafficking for commercial sex act, promoting prostitution and aggravated statutory rape.
