Grizzlies blow 24-point lead in loss to Thunder

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Grizzlies were one of the hottest teams in the association, winners of four of their last five games, going into Wednesday night’s contest at Oklahoma City.

After three-straight at home, the Griz took their show on the road to face the Thunder.

This one is a thing of beauty from the start.

Everybody getting in on the scoring act for Memphis,

From Ja Morant with 22 points, to Joanas Vallanciunas a bullish 24, and Brandon Clarke off the bench to lead the way with a career high of 27.

Griz took a 24-point second half lead, only to see the Thunder battle back just like it did from a 26-point deficit Monday to beat Chicago.

Dennis Schoeder with 31 points, 22 in the Second half.

Memphis gets sloppy at the end of the third quarter, letting OKC chop a 10-point lead to five with careless ball handling and defense.

The Griz proceed to turn the ball over nine times in the fourth, several errors unforced.

Oklahoma City outscores Memphis 34-22 in the period.

This one hurts. Thunder rallies to down the Grizzlies.

Final score 126-122.

Griz stay on the road at Cleveland Friday.
