MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Salvation Army is seeking additional toy donations for its 2019 Angel Tree Program.

Although gifts are already being handed out, the Salvation Army needs about 500 toys to be donated by Friday, Dec. 20 or else many children from KnowledgeQuest will be left without.

The Salvation Army is asking specifically for the following gifts:

Girls (ages 9-12) :

  • Arts and crafts sets
  • Kindles or educational tablets
  • Fashion Accessories

Boys (ages 9-12) :

  • Youth sports equipment/balls
  • Kindles or educational tablets

If your child is part of KnowledgeQuest, you are asked to contact them directly to determine whether your family is affected.

The Salvation Army is incredibly grateful for the community’s tremendous support, and the organization is hopeful that people will continue to find it in their hearts to give this holiday season.

Donations should be made in person at the following location and time:

Gaston Community Center, 1046 S. 3rd St. -- Friday, Dec. 20 from 9-11 a.m.
