MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A proposed law in Tennessee could extend the "Slow Poke Law" to more roadways across the state.

The current law, which was enacted in 2015, prohibits drivers from using the left lane, except for passing.

However, it applies to interstates and highways with three or more lanes in each direction.

The new bill would include roads with two or more lanes.

Wednesday the bill advanced to the Finance, Ways, and Means Committee.
