MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - If you’re taking the advice of public health officials and “social distancing” to help curb the spread of coronavirus, Malco Theaters is making it a little easier and safer to go to the movies.
The company announced Monday the Malco Summer Drive-In is now open seven days a week.
Most films are double features and children younger than 10 can watch for free.
To see a schedule of the double feature films showing at the Summer Drive-In, visit their website here.
Malco earlier announced it would limit ticket sales during the COVID-19 outbreak.
On Sunday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued new guidance to cancel or postpone events with 50 or more people for at least the next eight weeks. Public health officials are not only encouraging frequent hand-washing but also social distancing by avoiding groups and unnecessary visits to public places.
