MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Playhouse on the Square is postponing its opening of the world premiere “St. Paulie’s Delight” due to health concerns.

In a news release sent to WMC Action News 5 Monday afternoon, the company wrote in part:

The health and safety of our cast and crew has been CPI’s main priority during the rehearsal and production process, and in responding to an unexpected health concern, CPI leadership decided to temporarily halt rehearsals until the issue could be addressed and rectified.

Playhouse says out of precaution and care, the premiere will be postponed until Thursday, July 16 and run through Sunday, July 26.
