U of M men’s basketball players test positive for COVID-19

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -   University of Memphis men’s basketball coach Penny Hardaway confirms four members of the Tigers team tested positive for COVID-19.

Hardaway told ESPN the positive results came back after the team returned to campus to begin Phase Zero of their workouts.   

The team returned June 15, ten days later, the school announced three players and a staffer had tested positive but did not say which program.

The U of M did not release any names.
