Heat & humidity gradually rising the next few days

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - It’s been hot & humid across the Mid-South today and it will be even hotter & more humid on Sunday. Southerly winds will keep us hot and humid all weekend. Rain chances will increase next week.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Low: 75. Wind: S 5-10 mph.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy. An isolated shower or storm possible. Heat index: 100-105. High: 94. Wind: SW 5-10 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Low: 78. Wind: SW 5-10 mph.

NEXT WEEK: Tonight will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the low to mid 70s. The heat index will be as high as 103 in spots Sunday. It will be partly cloudy and rain chances will stay low on Sunday but there is a very small chance of an afternoon pop-up shower or thunderstorm although most will remain dry. It will remain hot and humid next week with high temperatures in the low to mid-90s and heat indices up to 105. Afternoon showers will be possible on Monday slightly better chances Tuesday through Thursday.
