More than 1,600 new coronavirus cases, 26 more deaths reported in Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Tennessee Department of Health reports 26 more deaths in the Volunteer State and more than 1,600 new coronavirus cases.

There have been 212,649 total cases across the state with 202,956 confirmed and 9,693 probable.

The death toll has risen to 2,758 with 1,022 hospitalizations.

TDH also reports 192,958 recoveries and more than 3.1 million tests administered in Tennessee.

The Shelby County Health Department reports 146 new COVID-19 cases and 3 additional virus-related deaths.

The death toll has risen to 530 and the total number of cases to 32,916 as of Saturday.

SCHD also reports 1,491 active cases across the county with nearly 7,000 people quarantined.

More than 30,000 people in Shelby County have recovered from coronavirus.
