Millington celebrates opening of new fire station

MILLINGTON, Tenn. (WMC) - The new Millington Fire Station that opened Tuesday night features an interior storm shelter capable of withstanding an F-5 tornado.

The all-new Fire Station number two went into service at 7245 Raleigh-Millington Road, replacing a station that protected Millington for 46 years.

It’s built to the latest seismic and ADA requirements and can house six firefighters and a battalion chief.
