MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The trial for Billy Ray Turner, the man charged in the 2010 murder of former Memphis Grizzlies player Lorenzen Wright has been delayed again.
Turner’s trial was originally scheduled to start in September.
It was moved to October 26 when new evidence was discovered but it’s been delayed again because of the COVID-10 pandemic.
No new date has been set.
We’re working to confirm if Lorenzen’s ex-wife, Sherra Wright, will testify.
She pleaded guilty to facilitation of murder in July and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
