MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A DeSoto County deputy is being praised after a dog was saved from an abandoned home.
Deputy Andrew Hurst was patrolling the neighborhood when he noticed a puppy in the backyard of an abandoned house.
DeSoto County said the dog was chained to a tree with no shelter, food, or water. The dog was also soaking wet and the temperature at the time was 36-degrees.
