MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - As the Memphis Tigers football team prepares for its final regular-season game against Houston at 2:30 pm on Saturday at the Liberty Bowl, it appears the U of M knows its fate for the postseason.
The Tigers will be heading to the Montgomery Bowl in Alabama, according to a report by the Athletic’s Brett McMurphy. The game is set for December 23. Possible foes for the Tigers include BYU, Liberty, Troy, Louisiana Tech, and Georgia State.
The Montgomery Bowl replaced a Bowl that was to be played at Boston’s Fenway Park. This will be the 7th straight year for the Tigers to play in a Bowl game, a program record.
