MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Tuesday morning, health care workers at Methodist Germantown will begin receiving their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
Staff at the hospital were enthusiastic about receiving their first doses when the vaccine arrived in December. The first to receive it at Methodist Germantown was Dr. Michael Threlkeld.
Being vaccinated was a relieving experience for some health care workers like respiratory therapist Pamela Ferrari. “I have an elderly mother that lives with me. And I’ve been worried since March that I’d bring this home to her.”
As healthcare workers prepare to receive their second dose of the vaccine, the two vaccination locations in Shelby County are closed this week.
The Shelby County Health Department has run out of vaccines allocated for their drive-thru centers.
