MPD: 2 charged after armored truck robbed near Wolfchase Galleria

Pair arrested for armored truck heist

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Two people are facing charges after an armored truck was robbed. Around 2:00 Wednesday afternoon, a man approached an armored truck while it was parked outside Wolfchase Galleria on Germantown Parkway.

Police said the suspect opened the door and took a bag that contained $137,752.22 while the guard, Sacarol White, was sitting in the driver’s seat. Once he got the money, the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan.

White was taken to the police station for questioning. She confessed to speaking with two people on the phone that said they were going to rob the armored car on Wednesday.

White further told the police that she gave the suspects information that helped facilitate the theft and deleted the calls from her phone’s call log.

No one was injured during this incident. White and Donavius Morgan have been charged with theft of property $60,000 - $250,000.
