Memphis firefighter killed after shooting near Germantown apartment complex, officials say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A fireman is dead after shots were fired at an apartment complex near Germantown Friday, according to the Memphis Police Department.

The shooting reportedly happened around 2:10 p.m. in the 3700 block of Parkline Dr. and Miller Creek.

The Memphis FireFighters Association confirmed 48-year-old Terrence Taylor, an MFD veteran was shot and killed at the apartment complex.

Taylor was a 16-year veteran, according to officials.

The investigation is “ongoing,” and no suspect information is available at this time, according to Memphis Police.
