2 killed in South Parkway shooting, MPD says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Two people died after shots were fired Sunday night, according to the Memphis Police Department.

The shooting happened in the 700 block of S. Parkway, at the intersection with Kerr Avenue

Upon arrival, one victim was found dead and one was found in critical condition, police say.

The second victim later died at the hospital.

The large crime scene required officers to shut down both directions of South Parkway and eastbound lanes of Kerr for much of the evening, according to a police alert.

Police did not share any information about possible suspects in the case or provide any additional details Monday.
