MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Anyone 16 or older in Memphis and Shelby County can now get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Eligibility opened to everyone Friday. Parents or guardians must accompany teens younger than 18 and complete a consent form.
Appointments for next week will be posted by noon Friday at covid19.memphistn.gov.
A number of other counties in west Tennessee are also offering the vaccine to everyone 16 and older. Officials cite a decrease in demand for expanding eligibility so quickly.
