Memphis Police investigating early-morning arson fire

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Fire department is asking for the public’s help after a vacant apartment went up in flames.

Firefighters responded to the blaze on Meriweather Avenue in North Memphis around 3 a.m. Friday morning.

Luckily, police say no one was hurt, but investigators say the fire was intentionally set.

There is about $175,000 worth of damages.
