SCS hiring 250 specialized educational assistants

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Part of Shelby County Schools’ Reimagining Plan is the creation of 250 new jobs.

The district has positions for specialized education assistants.

Those who take on this role will add additional support for teachers and students in the classroom. The positions are being created with federal funds and are expected to last through the 2022-2023 school year.

The recruitment event will take place every Thursday through June 17 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the SCS Board of Education on South Hollywood Street.
