MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Severe weather passed through the Mid-South Thursday afternoon.

Thousands are without power in Shelby County. Just under 7,000 MLGW customers are currently without power.

Crews are being dispatched to troubleshoot and begin repairs.

Holmes Road, between Reynolds and Center Hill Road in Collierville is closed as trees are down. MLGW crews are assessing the damage. Those traveling in the area will need to prepare for a detour.
