Governor Asa Hutchinson and Dr. Nate Smith, secretary of the Arkansas Department of Health, will update the public at 1:30 p.m. on the state’s response to the coronavirus, including the latest cases of COVID-19 and deaths.
The Tennessee Department of Health is reporting 3,802 confirmed cases of coronavirus as of Monday afternoon. There are 65 deaths being reported across the state along with 352 hospitalizations and 356 recoveries.
To better assist Tennesseans in need, a special hotline was setup. Applicants can call (833) 496-0661 to learn the status of their application, including approval or denial and how much money the family can expect to receive.
Strickland says the city is working with local hotels to give the homeless population a safe place to shelter in place. The task force has secured two hotels with sixty rooms for the next 30 days, giving women and homeless families a place to stay. The effort continues to secure a hotel for homele
